FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does it take to complete a project once work has
begun in my home?
A typical kitchen remodel is usually 3-4 weeks from start to finish
to complete.
What does a Kitchen remodeling project cost? What does
cabinet refacing and window replacements cost?
Your average kitchen with moderate product selections can
range from $15k-$30K excluding appliances. An average kitchen
cabinet refacing project or complete window replacement range from
$5K-$15K. These quotes are rough guidelines and our pricing
varies from project to project based on the extent of the materials
installation needs and scope.
Once I hire CabinetMan, how long
will it be until you start the work in my home?
Typically we need to wait for all our your materials to arrive from our
suppliers and for everything to be manufactured in our factory before we begin
working in your home. The wait time is usually 4-8 weeks depending upon
seasonal backlog. Our policy is that once we begin work in your home we
work straight through until completion.
Do my new cabinets, counter, windows, etc. come with a warranty?
Absolutely yes! For cabinetry and counters built and installed by CabinetMan Remodeling we provide
a 5 year warranty on materials and workmanship in addition to direct warranties offered by various
vendors we employ. For window work a limited lifetime warranty is provided. For all counters installed
by Granite Transformations the manufacturer provides a limited lifetime warranty. Tile and stone work
is guaranteed for 1 year.
Are you Licensed, Bonded and Insured?
Absolutely. In California, anyone who contracts to perform work that is valued at $500 or more for
materials and labor must hold a current, valid license from the Contractors State License Board, be
bonded, and carry workman's compensation insurance for employees. CabinetMan holds a licenses
in two classifications; General Contractor and Cabinet and Mill work Contractor.
CabinetMan also carries additional liability insurance above and beyond what's required by the state.
Does CabinetMan comply with the EPA's rules to help prevent lead poisoning from paint?
Yes! CabinetMan is certified and trained in lead safe practices. Common renovation activities like
sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based
paint, which can be harmful to adults and children. The EPA's rule requiring the use of lead-safe
practices and other actions is aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, all contractors
performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes built
before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
Ask any contractor you may be considering if they are certified. It's the law.
