Our son, Bobby has Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Each year
since Bobby was diagnosed at one year of age in 1999 we’ve
taken part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF)
Walk to Cure Diabetes. We walk to raise money to help fund
research for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and its complications and
have raised over $115,000 in our efforts. This money goes
directly to research that will someday help cure diabetes and many other insidious
diseases.
We all know the complications that can arise from a lifetime of battling this horrible disease. But the
good news is that a cure for Type 1 Diabetes IS within reach. For the first time, scientists are
predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure for Type 1 Diabetes well within our lifetime!
CabinetMan's family team, “Bobby’s Brigade” will be walking with the JDRF every year until we find
a cure!!.
